The infamous Sausage sizzles have recently returned to Bunnings and Stirling Comets have been able to secure Sunday 16 August to run the BBQ as a club fundraiser. All profits generated go to our club.
This is a great opportunity for us to raise funds given social activities and sponsorship opportunities have been non-existent due to COVID restrictions. Your help with this is much appreciated.
There are strict requirements, we must have 5 people (no more no less) on the stand at all times for the duration of the day. Each person will have a role and social distancing will be maintained. There is a host of cleaning / sanitising requirements but we will run through these with each shift on the day.
We are calling on each Comets team to provide a volunteer/s. The U11 teams have not been included in this request as they have been rostered to clean the courts each Saturday morning so far this season.
We will split the day in to 3 shifts of 3 hours duration each. We have decided to go with longer shifts as when there is a changeover of people there is a requirement to re-sanitise everything and stop selling whilst this is being done. Less people, less changeovers!
8am – 11am Set up and selling (sausages must be available for sale from 9am)
11am – 2pm Selling
2pm – 5pm Selling and pack up (sausages must be available until 4pm, then pack up)
We will require at least one volunteer from each team. The minimum age to work on the stand is 15 years. Please let Meredith McArthur firstname.lastname@example.org know if you can help asap and if you have a preferred shift time.
